COVID-19 in India
IMPORTANT! I want to remind you to to wear a mask outside, especially when around others (please keep your nose covered), maintain social distancing, and wash hands whenever coming indoors. If everyone does their part we will get back to normal sooner. If you fall sick, especially if it is fever, don’t hesitate to get tested!
Let’s look at what COVID-19 is doing in India. Starting with the good news, the mortality rate, the percentage that die due to the virus in India is 1.92%; this is is 40% less than the US at 3.15% , which has one of the most advanced healthcare systems on the planet The fatality rate comparison is shown below.

The picture above was taken while working at the recently established COVID-19 ward at Victor Hospital in Margao, Goa. Notably, Kallows has donated ECG recorders to support us. The telemedicine ECG feature makes our ICU ECGs remotely accessible, decreasing our exposure. Thanks for the help — we can see that the engineer that brought the equipment wore his mask!
